Speaking for the Helpless

As I walked the last few steps to my home, a group of workers were huddled in front of the house they are constructing.  When I got past them, I overheard one would boast that he just wants someone to go near him and somewhat heard that he didn’t want to hurt that someone.  When I glanced back, I saw the guy holding a dog.  I went back and approached them.  I told the guy that he shouldn’t hurt a dog, any animal as it is against the law.  I told them I don’t want to have to witness something like that as I wouldn’t hesitate taking the proper action against such an act.  They were suddenly quiet as I left.

The most awaited briefing for the bigger boss finally happened.  Stretching my hoarse voice to be audible, I made a presentation to him and his staff.  I also made sure that he will be available to chair an important meeting to be held later this month that was postponed last year because of his unavailability.  Engaged with the big boss at the same time as the presentation, he tried to be as attentive as possible and asked relevant questions.  He also confirmed that he will make it to the important meeting.

The big family adventure has become a reality.  I would have to do double time on the travel planning.

A meeting with a prized network might just give us the breaks we need to meet our targets for our roadshows and graduate to higher level activities that could boost the number of applicants for accreditation.

Bantering at work makes the burden light.

Template for accomplishment completed.  They ought to get the rating they deserve.

I started another sub-category and made three posts.

Clean slate.

I have completed all needed tests and doctors’ appointment for the latest findings.  Glad that there is really nothing seriously wrong but I have to be conscious of what I eat given the results.  I was pleasantly surprised to see positive change in previous negative results even without medicating.  It took a lot of determination and discipline to avoid the culprits that could have worsen the results.

A Smile A Day Takes the Blues Away

Smile” is a song based on the instrumental theme song composed by Charlie Chaplin for his 1936 movie Modern TimesJohn Turner and Geoffrey Parsons added the lyrics and title in 1954.  The song goes…. “Smile, though your heart is aching.  Smile, even though it’s breaking.  When there are clouds in the sky, you get by…. ” telling the listener to cheer up and that there is always a bright tomorrow, just as long as they smile. ”

Knowledge Empowers

Knowledge is wealth.  Education provides a structured way of acquiring a great deal of knowledge that will prove useful in our profession or vocation.  Experience hones and further refines this knowledge and transforms it into set of skills that capacitates us in doing our job.  Repeated over time, this set of skills or our capabilities become our expertise that we can use for our own good and those that we serve.
