Words to Live By

Things are just that, things…. they don’t make us whole.

Today will be great if ….

  1. All meet ups will materialize.
  2. I can post more items in Less is Best and encourage more to do the same.
  3. My brother R and family will visit.

 State of mind …..

  1. I can give more.
  2. It feels good to give.
  3. I will give much more.

Today was simply amazing because …..

  1. It’s still weekend.
  2. We are one big bag, some small ones and a few cages clutter-less and can breathe easier 🙂
  3. My brother R and family came and brought donuts 🙂

If I could turn back the hands of time…...

  1. I would not have bought so much stuff.
  2. I could have admonished those in this household to buy less stuff.
  3. I should have cleared out this household of stuff earlier so that some had not gone to waste.

Grateful for …..

  1. Kuya Guard and Vilma for helping me clear out our house of pre-loved stuff which will surely be loved.  I love giving to people who can appreciate the gesture.
  2. Joanna and Marites, wonderful people I’ve met in FB who have similar advocacies as mine.
  3.  The Krispy  Kreme donuts brought by my brother R and family.

Some of us ought to realize that the world doesn’t need to see every nook and cranny of  our lives.

Today was simply amazing because …..

  1. Annie Lennox’s cover of fave Bob Marley classic, Waiting in Vain, was playing as I got in the bus which instantly made my day.
  2. I made substantial progress in the study.
  3. I also added the pictures to the travel post.

If I could turn back the hands of time…...

  1. I would try to build goodwill instead of pushing my own agenda.
  2. I would have bought lesser stuff and traveled more.
  3. I would have done more this morning.

Grateful for …..

I can do without much of the trappings and still be contented.

Today will be great if ……

  1. Traffic would be light so I can continue on my early to work streak.
  2. I can concentrate on what needs to be done in a serene work environment.
  3. I would remember to buy the pooches’ health enhancing stuff.

 State of mind …..

  1. I feel good.
  2. I have a lot on my mind.
  3. I still can’t get over the sensation from the last adventure…. and I am yearning for more.

Today was simply amazing because …..

  1. I caught my fave p2p bus driver who always greet me and everyone else with his infectious smile.  I decided to take some pics so to give him some exposure on my long planned blog on this mode of transpo which he just made compelling.  Add to this that the bus left earlier than scheduled because it filled up fast 🙂
  2. The office is one peaceful place with only a handful of people.
  3. The long-awaited financial reward finally came 🙂

If I could turn back the hands of time…...

Revenge is not the best way to settle a score.

Today will be great if ……

  1. I can finish the write up.
  2. I can start on the new assessment assignment which is due next week.
  3. I can make substantial progress on the new travel post which I am excited to publish.

 State of mind …..

  1. I am overwhelmed.
  2.  I can do everything on my list with focus and determination.
  3. I feel wonderful.

Today was simply amazing because …..

  1. I got to start my day early and on a good note.  A woman I sat next to in the p2p bus smiled at me and I smiled back.  She had concerns on safety and I assured her that the drivers are careful.  As we reached our get-off point, she gave me a soft tap on the arm and gave another smile while saying something conveying satisfaction on her first ever ride with this mode of transpo.
  2. I am pleased to be part of an assessment team that appears to have direction and guidance from a team leader I initially disliked in an earlier activity… a far cry from my team in the last assessment.
  3. Funding for that project from the bigger boss was approved after it was sidetracked in my own office.

If I could turn back the hands of time…...

  1. I would have continually work on that write up and not let my old nemesis, procrastination, get the better of me.  It’s a major piece of work done on my own initiative that would do wonders for the office.
  2. I would have reached out more
  3. I would have been more circumspect in assessing a person’s character.

Grateful for …..

  1. Thanks to the motorists who went earlier and later than I did  making traffic light and my commute fast:)
  2. Thank you for the light evening traffic as well, motorists.
  3. Thank God for bringing me home safely.

 State of mind …..

  1.   I don’t feel like attending that meeting and be with a loudmouth who likes taking credit for something he did not do whoñI am not so fond of.
  2.  I cannot be late anymore!
  3. I should focus and not waver in my resolve to finish unfinished business.

N.B.  I tweaked this part a bit for more options as I find it hard to give my current state with the limited options.

  1. I would just have taken the shuttle today….  but I’m getting addicted to p2p.
