Words to Live By

Things are just that, things…. they don’t make us whole.

Today will be great if ….

  1. All meet ups will materialize.
  2. I can post more items in Less is Best and encourage more to do the same.
  3. My brother R and family will visit.

 State of mind …..

  1. I can give more.
  2. It feels good to give.
  3. I will give much more.

Today was simply amazing because …..

  1. It’s still weekend.
  2. We are one big bag, some small ones and a few cages clutter-less and can breathe easier 🙂
  3. My brother R and family came and brought donuts 🙂

If I could turn back the hands of time…...

  1. I would not have bought so much stuff.
  2. I could have admonished those in this household to buy less stuff.
  3. I should have cleared out this household of stuff earlier so that some had not gone to waste.

Grateful for …..

  1. Kuya Guard and Vilma for helping me clear out our house of pre-loved stuff which will surely be loved.  I love giving to people who can appreciate the gesture.
  2. Joanna and Marites, wonderful people I’ve met in FB who have similar advocacies as mine.
  3.  The Krispy  Kreme donuts brought by my brother R and family.

Words to Live By

Some of us ought to realize that the world doesn’t need to see every nook and cranny of  our lives.

Today will be great if ……

  1. Traffic will not slow down my commute to work as I need to get to office early.
  2. The potential buyer of my car will make a favorable decision.
  3. I will not forget to send the recommendation letter for C.
  4. I can get off early enough for tonight’s meet up with C & M.

 State of mind …..

  1. I am looking forward to tonight.
  2. I am cool and relaxed.
  3. I will acvomplishment more.

Today was simply amazing because …..

  1. Annie Lennox’s cover of fave Bob Marley classic, Waiting in Vain, was playing as I got in the bus which instantly made my day.
  2. I made substantial progress in the study.
  3. I also added the pictures to the travel post.

If I could turn back the hands of time…...

  1. I would try to build goodwill instead of pushing my own agenda.
  2. I would have bought lesser stuff and traveled more.
  3. I would have done more this morning.

Grateful for …..

  1. The light morning traffic which made the drive to ATC fast.
  2. The yummy pudding given by my colleague M.
  3. Thanks to my cousin L for the sweet potato.  The dogs also extend their gratitude 🙂

Cream Silk in Sachet with a Cap

This is one everyday use product that is most thoughtful.  Its maker, Unilever, must have been listening really well to the VOC.

With the emergence of budget airlines and more disposable income for the middle class, people are travelling more.  We don’t have to bring what’s on our bathroom counters since we need to pack light due to luggage weight allowance and to have more space for our treasure finds where we are going:)  We need products that are compact and toiletries in sachet fill this need for me.  I am a user of cream silk conditioner also as it does it job for my hair.

I chance upon this product in an interesting packaging in one of my sale hunting expedition 😉  I usually horde toiletries when there is a huge sale to take advantage of the 3- or 6- month payment scheme at 0% interest and avail of bonus items that come with a certain amount of purchase.  I am a sucker for these things….at least on consumables that would surely be used in time.  This product which is not available as a regular product in supermarkets is marketed as part of a promo pack.

Words to Live By

I can do without much of the trappings and still be contented.

Today will be great if ……

  1. Traffic would be light so I can continue on my early to work streak.
  2. I can concentrate on what needs to be done in a serene work environment.
  3. I would remember to buy the pooches’ health enhancing stuff.

 State of mind …..

  1. I feel good.
  2. I have a lot on my mind.
  3. I still can’t get over the sensation from the last adventure…. and I am yearning for more.

Today was simply amazing because …..

  1. I caught my fave p2p bus driver who always greet me and everyone else with his infectious smile.  I decided to take some pics so to give him some exposure on my long planned blog on this mode of transpo which he just made compelling.  Add to this that the bus left earlier than scheduled because it filled up fast 🙂
  2. The office is one peaceful place with only a handful of people.
  3. The long-awaited financial reward finally came 🙂

If I could turn back the hands of time…...

  1. I would try to build goodwill instead of pushing my own agenda.
  2. I would have bought lesser stuff and traveled more.
  3. I would have done morethis morning.

Grateful for …..

  1. Thanks to CB for the honorarium…. it was heaven-sent 🙂
  2. Thanks to my ever-efficient, resourceful and really nice EA for claiming my check and depositing it 🙂
  3. Thanks to the meeting’s organizers for the Yellow Cab pizza and Charlie Chan Chicken Pasta (it’s been sometime since I last had this).
  4. Thanks to my neighbor M for giving me a ride.

P2P is the Way to Go

This is a long-awaited post.  I have been meaning to write on this to reach out to more people to hype more about this relatively new service that came to fruition in the last few months of the past administration.  I may be wrong as the routes Makati to Trinoma/SM North Ave and vice versa and Makati to SM Megamall and vice versa have been in existence before the Alabang to Makati and vice versa route was launched on 26 April 2016.  I’ve been a regular rider since I first tried it in its first week of  operation and I can’t stop ditching my old transport mode of the UV Express which plies my village to Makati route.  It used to be the safer and convenient alternative as its waiting area is inside the village and it brings me right in front of my office.  There is a terminal in Makati Park Square for UV Express vans when going home.

Yes, that’s right.  We should rave about this premium bus service for living up to its name… premium, point-to-point.  Let’s look at what the buzz is all about…

Use It or Ditch It

A new category I would be blogging about so that I can share my experience and thoughts in trying out a new product or service.  Places will not be part of this category as posts on this is aptly placed under Wanderlust.

Comments are highly welcome as we can make this page a venue to discuss varied views on products and services particularly emerging ones and help us in making informed purchase decisions.

I am a big user of reviews when I plan to purchase something and these have been helpful in narrowing the choices and finally making a decision.  I find some sites truly helpful and give objective views and useful comparisons of competing brands for product or service categories  while others have been used as marketing platforms to hype about a product or service before launch.
